Haiti Relief Offering
A special offering was collected on Sunday, January 17, 2010 for humanitarian and relief operations in Haiti. The offering will be sent to the United Church of Christ headquarters in Cleveland for distribution as needed. Already the UCC is responding in significant ways to make a difference for good in Haiti. Click HERE for more information about the UCC's disaster response. To donate, please make your checks payable to Park Church and not "Haiti" in the memo line or for cash gifts, simply indicate "Haiti" on the line designated as "Other." Thank you for your generous support!
We Don't Agree with Pat Robertson!
Televangelist Pat Robertson believes that the earthquake in Haiti is somehow a punishment from God. We don't agree with Pat Robertson! The God we love and serve at Park Church is a God of love, grace and mercy. If you're looking for a church home that teaches and preaches and lives out the love, grace and mercy of God, join us anytime at First (Park) Congregational United Church of Christ. No matter who you are or where you are on life's journey, you're welcome here!

Artists at Park
Michelle M. Bahr is a pastel artist whose creative life has encompassed a multitude of experiences. She began as a graphic artist, then spent several years as a Michigan State Police forensic artist. For the past six years, she has been living her dream of pastel painting, professionally. Michelle is drawn to many different patterns and textures that make up her paintings. The emergence of the brush strokes when working on handmade pastel paper, or the texture from the layering of the pastel's vibrant pure color, inspires her. She says that the whole process of painting is like a treasure hunt. "Sometimes the search is long but the feeling when you find it is like no other...it's always a thrill to discover that successful combination that becomes the finished painting." Michelle's work will hang in the Gallery Hallway from January 27, 2010 until March 10, 2010.
